Republican Roundtable Celebrates WW II Veteran and Centenarian Paul Hilliard

Join us Thursday, November 6, at the Lake Charles Country Club as the Calcasieu Republican Parish Executive Committee honors WWII Veteran and centenarian Paul Hilliard at the Republican Roundtable Luncheon. At just 17, Hilliard served as a radioman/gunner aboard SBD “Dauntless” dive bombers in the Pacific Theater, flying 45 combat missions and earning two Distinguished Flying Crosses and an Air Medal with six gold stars. After the war, he became a pioneering leader in independent oil and gas exploration, founding Badger Oil Corporation and holding national industry leadership roles. A passionate supporter of aviation and military history, Hilliard has funded numerous historically significant artifacts. During this special event, we will celebrate his 100th birthday.
